Hoggin The Bridge 2010

wpf3fbd109_0f.jpg

A bright and early start to the day, a smallish number of us met at the old Taylors cafe off the Coldra roundabout.

It was a bit chilly on the willy but nothing that a nice cupper didn’t sort out though.

After we had our cuppa and banged our gums for a bit  we set off to meet everyone at Aust services.

We were off..... After a nice ride to Aust Services we took the sights in of the thousands of fellow bikers - it was great. God forbid if anyone had started, there would have been a massive “Pile On”!!

Time to start “Hoggin  The Bridge”

Well it started off great for us.... Going down the motorway and seeing all of the supporters waving and wishing their best. We then come off the M4 and hit Magor!!!! This is where the fun started, it was fantastic where the people on the side of the road held their hands out for hi fives - a real good turn-out. We travelled through Magor and into Caldicot and this is where I managed to cook Karly Baby’s chopper (BIG OOPs) all I can remember at the time was me shouting  “Karl I’m Steaming!!!”  - What people must have thought I dare not imagine. Then the embarrassment kicked in, as if I wasn’t feeling bad enough, the owners of Getspeed stuck on the side of the road because I was totally crap - tut ppfuuhh call me a biker hey?!!! So we had to cut it short and take the poor bike home. Well lucky for me I got to ride Karl’s ZX9R home so Karl could make sure the Marauder was ok (such a shame!! Chuckle, Chuckle! Lol)

This did not stop us though. We had a quick cuppa to warm us through and jumped in the car to go to Chepstow. I was gutted!!! Seeing all of the bikers out and about really dug the knife in! We got to Chepstow and by this time some bikers had already gone home - but still a great crowd.

The next photo’s are of Chepstow, the end of Hoggin The Bridge.

We at Getspeed would like to thank the people who joined us in our trip (Jamie, Aarron, Rhys, Mike, Pam, and Siobhan) but a MASSIVE thanks goes to the organisers of HTB 2010.

We look forward to the next Hoggin The Bridge 2011
